"ANYONE CAN PLAY" new crt album drops 12/4/2020
ANOTHER ALBUM? DANG, SON!
Yes, it’s true. Yet another CRT joint droppeth on Dec. 4th. I’ve got 96 tracks in the can give or take. And though I could save them up the Executive Committee seems to think there’s stuff that needs to be heard in there.
So peep it on Dec 4th, 2020 which also happens to be another bandcamp Friday wherein they waive their fees so artists can get 100% of royalties from album sales.
Here’s a lil more about “ANYONE CAN PLAY:”
The songs contained herein are an accurate survey of the general landscape of my musical life during 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope they provide some comfort, escape or distraction from the day to day events of your life in whatever age or era you’re listening to it from.
Working a challenging full-time job during the day is one thing but to be thrust into doing it from home for almost a year at this point has been one of the harder things I’ve faced in my life. One escape and relief from it was being able to get to my studio to make music quite fast now that my commute was reduced almost a thousandfold.
I’d open my usual Live default set and let my fingers and mind do the walking. Some of the titles certainly reflect life during the pandemic while some others might be less obvious. It was both a great source of relief and sometimes further anxiety to work on music at times. I’d feel pressure in my day job and the internal pressure I placed on myself to get a song done so I could jump to the next one. Obsessive is the right way to describe it for sure.
Well there you have it.
See you ‘round!
