Rust Remodeled: Production Unit Xero!

Wanna hear something funny? 'Containment' isn't actually on "Life Among the Rust." When I was doling out tracks and their files I couldn't find any for the track I'd promised Ramon aka Production Unit Xero. At first I gave him the whole stereo file for 'Talking to the Giant' expecting him to make a remix from it but that wasn't fair at all. So I dug around and came across another track from the same time called 'Containment.' Once in his possession, Ramon took the tracks and worked his magic. With a remix, an artist will most likely tear a track apart and render it completely unrecognizable from the original. But sometimes the more powerful approach is to work over the original in subtler ways (Autechre once remixed a track where they only slightly adjusted the snare drum sound). Which is exactly what Ramon has done. His dark, banging remix bears repeated listens due to a covert reworking that gives the track his specific mark while keeping much of the original feel intact.
